Toronto, ON – Historic, tattoo, and confetti were only some of the words that Sarah-Lynn Pearse of Elliot Lake revealed on her INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE (Game #2173) ticket to win a $250,000 top prize.

Sarah, a 31-year old mom of two, discovered her win at home surround by her friends. “The last four letters I scratched came together to make several words,” she shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque. “When I announced I won $250,000, my friends jumped up and down in excitement but quietly – as not to wake the baby!” she smiled.

The custodian plans to help her family and friends and purchase a home.

“I’m feeling lots of excitement. This is life changing, for sure,” she concluded.

The OLG Prize Centre in Toronto is now accepting in-person prize claim appointments for winning-ticket holders of $10,000 or more. Appointments for prizes of this value will be granted if requested, however prizes up to $49,999.90 do not have to be claimed in-person and customers are encouraged to continue to mail in these claims when possible. To best protect customers and staff, OLG has put in place appropriate health and safety protocols in accordance with guidelines from public health officials, which include physical distancing measures, the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the pre-screening of visitors before granting entry. Future announcements will be made as to when OLG will open appointments to anyone wishing to claim their prize in-person at the Prize Centre.

INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.45.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hillside Shop & Save on Hillside Drive in Elliot Lake.
