For the second straight year, the City of Sault Ste. Marie is receiving the maximum allowable funding through the province’s Connecting Links program.
Sault MPP Ross Romano announced Monday morning that the Sault will be provided 3-million dollars for resurfacing of Trunk Road.
Romano says last year our city was provided 3-million dollars out of the 30-million dollar annual provincial fund for the widening of Black Road.
The Trunk Road project will involve a brand new asphalt surface for a section of the road coming into the city limits…

Romano talks about the Sault and how we fit within the program’s criteria…

Mayor Christian Provenzano while addressing the local media at the announcement, says it’s a 3.4-million dollar project in total and involves an area from the most eastern city limits to the Husky gas station and restaurant.
