Early this morning (March 3) a tornado ripped through Nashville just before 1am. East Nashville and Germantown areas of the city have been ruined along with buildings including Basement East which collapsed.
Country stars have took to social media on what they experienced and if they were safe.
Carrie Underwood was on the Today show, saying that her husband Mike Fisher, and sons Jacob and Isaiah were all safe and sound.

Devastation in East Nashville and Germantown, as a tornado ripped through Nashville last night. Cecilia and I are safe, but the twister did rip through our neighborhood, right through our condo parking lot, tipping over cars and semis on the streets, ripping giant interstate signs off the poles, crushing cars with huge trees, and demolishing buildings like you can see in these photos. The Basement, a venue I played at a number of times has been flattened. The Burger Joint we loved so much called Burger Up is flattened. And sadly, it’s hard to even write this, but reports say 8 people have lost their lives and more are in critical condition in hospitals. My heart goes out to everyone in Nashville who has been affected by this tornado, and to those families that are grieving the loss of a loved one. . . . Photo Cred: Chris Conte and Rebecca Cardenas
