The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation will be holding another one day strike involving eight different school boards today.
Included will be the Algoma District School Board for the 2nd time.
The area board has advised that all of its elementary and secondary schools will be closed to students—-some of the workers involved work at elementary schools.
Keep in mind, that all third-party licensed childcare operators at board schools will be permitted to remain open—–check with your childcare operator directly on their intentions.
Also, all community use of schools will continue but adult and continuing education classes and any scheduled school council meetings or school based meetings, activities and sports are cancelled.

The one day strike does not affect classes for students with the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board as its schools for students will be open.
However, noon hour aides with the Board will take part in the one day strike.

The French District Catholic School Board advises that there will be no classes for its students today at both the elementary and secondary level due to the one day OSSTF strike.

OSSTF District 2  says pickets will take place today from 8am to 4 pm at Superior Heights Secondary School, the Algoma District School Board office and Sault MPP Ross Romano’s constituency office on Bay Street.
