The Sault’s unemployment rate remained in the double-digits for a 5th straight month.
The unemployment rate last month was 10.9% which is more than double the rate of a year ago.
The participation rate was down from a year ago but remained above 60% at 62.1%—–the participation rate combines both the number of employed with those unemployed but actively looking for work.
The number of employed last month came in at 36-thousand-800…a year ago it was 41-thousand.
