SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – May 27, 2019 – The week of May 26 – June 1, 2019 is recognized as Paramedic Services Week. Sault Ste Marie Fire Services – EMS Division would like to thank and recognize the hard work and dedication our team of 64 paramedics and supporting staff provide our citizens and visitors when they call for ambulance services.

Sault Ste Marie paramedics responded to over 18,000 calls for ambulance service last year. They operate out of two EMS base stations located in Sault Ste Marie and Garden River First Nation and cover more than 44,000 square kilometers of response area. Our paramedics provide continual 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year coverage in every weather condition within the district.

Sault Ste Marie paramedics are a highly skilled, caring and compassionate team that provides care every day in hopes of making somebody’s worst day better. When the citizens of Sault Ste Marie and the surrounding district call 911 for a medical emergency, they should feel very confident that they will receive a professional response from these dedicated individuals.
