Appeals have been filed against the rezoning approval provided by city council last month for a parcel of land at the northwest corner of MacDonald and Gladstone Avenue allowing for a 12-storey, 90 unit apartment complex that will be geared for seniors.
The rezoning for 22 MacDonald Avenue was changed from Parks and Recreation to High Density Residential and the applicants are local developers Joe Ruscio and John Martella.
Two citizens have filed appeals and the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal will decide whether a hearing is warranted based on the issues raised in the appeals.
If the Tribunal decides an appeal is warranted, then a date will be set at that time.
