Toll rates are going up for both Canadian and US travellers at the International Bridge a week from today.
The last time US rates were adjusted was five years ago.
As of April 1st, the base rate increase along with the currency rate adjustment will see the passenger vehicle rate increased from $4.50 to $5.30 for those using Canadian currency.
The US base rate will increase from $3.50 to $4 per crossing.
The commuter rate involving the full 30% discount for Canadians will go from $3.15 to $3.71—–for US travellers the rate with the full discount will go from $2.45 to $2.80 per trip.
The commercial rate per axle using Canadian currency will increase from $5.85 to $6.60—the US commercial rate will rise from $4.50 to $5 per axle.
