Preliminary figures from Elections Ontario indicate that over 3-thousand voters cast their ballot at advance polls for the Sault by-election.
That figure is 900 less than the votes cast at advance polls in the 2014 general election.
Voter turnout is normally lower for by-elections.
Advance polling took place over a one week period which came to an end on Friday.
Election day is Thursday and there are almost 63-thousand eligible voters—-eligible voters are encouraged to visit elections.on.ca to find out where, when and how to vote.
