Mayor Provenzano has written a letter of support regarding an application made by the Shingwauk Education Trust for federal funding support for an Anishnabek Discovery Centre on the campus of Algoma University.  The Shingwauk Education Trust has made an application for support through the Post-Secondary Institution Strategic Investment Fund.  The vision of those behind the project is to provide a research and information centre for the Anishnabek people and all Canadian citizens to learn and experience First Nations heritage and history.
