With Railmark Canada President Allen Brown in attendance, City Council has agreed with an EDC recommendation and opted not to sign a final Contribution Agreement with the Michigan-based company to assume responsibility for the passenger rail service north of the Sault.   Brown says the decision is understandable – and for now his company will continue operation of the rail service trying to get his line of credit and other ‘ducks in a row’. In the meantime, it’s back to the drawing board for the Stakeholder Working Group as they pursue other options – while Railmark continues trying to meet it’s obligations.
