Three biology faculty members at Algoma University have won discovery grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Resarch Council of Canada.  Doctors Brandon Schamp, Pedro Artunes and Jennifer Foote have been awarded a combined total of 405 thousand dollars to help fund their research endevours.  This is the first time 3 Biology professors at Algoma have been awarded substantial funding from the organization in the same year.  N-S-E-R–C discovery grants support on-going research for up to five years in duration, which have long-term goals as well as a research training component.
