68 Sault Area Hospital employees made the annual sunshine list—-that’s the public sector salary disclosure act list of those making more than 100-thousand dollars.  That’s up by 18 employees compared to 2013.  Topping the list was Chief of Medical Staff Heather O’Brien at over 325-thousand dollars—-up 1% from a year ago.  Hospital President Ron Gagnon’s salary only increased a few hundred dollars as he made over 307-thousand dollars.  As for our two post secondary institutions, Sault College increased its ranks by 6 employees to 83 while Algoma University added 4 to 35.  Sault College President Dr. Ron Common pulled in almost 287-thousand dollars—unchanged from the year before.  Algoma U President Dr. Richard Myers took home a salary of 199-thousand dollars—no change from the year before.
For the Algoma District School Board, it added three to its rank of sun shiners with a total of 88.  The Huron Superior Catholic District School Board actually saw its total reduced by 2 to 42.  Both Algoma District School Board Director Lucia Reece and Huron Superior Catholic District School Board Director John Stadnyk each made over 187-thousand dollars—–in both cases more than 3% less then in 2013.
