City police arrrested a 52-year old man following a domestic assault complaint last night.  Police say the assault consisted of the accused taking broken glass and stabbing the victim in the head and arms.  The victim required medical attention for non, life-threatening injuries.

Break-ins kept city police busy last night.  They were called to Planetary Pride on Queen Street East where a small amount of money was taken.

Theives attempted to break into a residence in the 500 block of McNabb Street.  Entry was not gained but a door was damaged.

And, shortly after midnight, police went to a Glasgow Avenue residence where a homeowner chased a robber who tried to break into his car.  A small container of change that belonged to the owner was recovered.  The male suspect got away.
