SaultMICreating quality places.  That’s one of the goals of a placemaking workshop at City Hall in Sault, Michigan.  Monday’s workshop is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  Various community leaders from across the Eastern Upper Peninsula will be learning about placemaking — a concept where enhanced amenities in those communities can result in retaining and attracting talented workers to strengthen their place in the global economy.  The event is being put on by the MIplace Partnership Initiative — a collaboration of state agencies and nonprofits, including the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and the Michigan Municipal League.
