While traffic on the Mackinac Bridge has been up sofar this year – it hasn’t translated into more crossings of the International Bridge.  February saw more than 109,000 crossings – 29,000 fewer than the year before … representing a decline of 21%.   Traffic was down in all categories, with commuter traffic down 17%.  There were close to 27% fewer crossings by people paying full fare.   Commerical truck traffic was down by 22%.  Year-to-date traffic is down by 19%.
