Well, I hope you remembered your Mamma Sunday May 13th, or else! LOL
Moms really are amazing right?
If you bought flowers for MOM and you’re wondering how long they will last, here are
some tips I mentioned on the air this morning.

Post Mother’s Day

Make Your Mother’s Day Flowers Last Longer: The Huffington Post asked the flower delivery service The Bouqs Company how moms can make their Mother’s Day flowers last longer. The company suggested changing the water on a daily basis and adding flower food instead of pennies to the water. The Bouqs Company says flowers should initially be placed in warm water so they can bloom faster. After that, cool water should be used to help the flowers stay open. Each day, the flower stems should be cut by a fourth of an inch to prevent bacterial infection.

Coming up with the fabulous weather this week, is The United Way’s ‘ Pedals for possibilities’, charity event featuring the one and only Sonny Spina. Spina will cycle 283 KLICKS, with a trek in WAWA and Elliot Lake as well as more than 80 in the Soo!
Not only is Sonny the United Way Campaign Chair this year, but has committed to ride for the less fortunate in the region.
I have the honour of riding part of the Soo public portion, 40kms in it’s entirety and great news for you, you can ride with us and not the whole 40kms. There is registration tables set up at points in the route. The public route takes place Thursday folks.
You can drop off pledges there as well, when you register! Donations over ten dollars will receive a tax receipt.

I have Sonny in studio on Tuesday before 9 to discuss the ride and more, so be sure to join us in the morning.

If you would like to ride, visit the Pedals Facebook and Website for all the details!
In the Image photo of this story, you can see the JAM Bluetooth Speaker I got for my birthday which can and will be bike mounted for the tour!

Join in and Pedal your blues away!
