Supplied by the Greyhounds…
Last Friday Night (April 13) the Soo Greyhounds, in conjunction with Rob Trembinski (EXIT Realty) and Jeff Hunter (Prouse Motors), embarked on a fundraising campaign to raise funds in consideration of the tragic events affecting the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Limited Edition #HumboldtStrong tshirts were sold during a Greyhounds game day, and demand resulted in additional sales later taking place.
While the t-shirt sales are now SOLD OUT, over $20,000 raised.

“We are so grateful that we live in The Sault! It started with an idea that we *might* be able to sell 200 t-shirts and give the proceeds to the Humboldt families. It’s been an amazing initiative. We have sold over 7 TIMES our goal, and have hundreds of orders to fulfill” stated Trembinski.

Further to this fundraising, the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club led by Team President Tim Lukenda and it’s Board of Directors, is honoured and proud to pledge an additional $20,000 to support the Humboldt Broncos and their families.

Everyone involved would like to thank the fans of the Soo Greyhounds, the community of Sault Ste. Marie and hockey fans from far and wide for their support of this initiative.

We continue to send our thoughts and condolences to all affected in Sasakatchewan and encourage everyone to remain #HumboldtStrong.
