Easter Seals 2017

Supplied by the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie…
On Sunday, March 26, our local Easter Seals Telethon raised $107,896.43 for children and youth with physical disabilities. Despite poor weather conditions and a flu bug keeping some of our panelists and hosts at home – the fundraiser was a success! This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our panelists, volunteers, hosts, sponsors, the awesome crew at Shaw TV, and the generous individuals and businesses who made pledges on Sunday.
$12,497.33 of that total was raised through TD Change for Change In The Lives Of Easter Seals Kids by local TD branches and collection campaigns held by schools across the city. Our top school this year was Notre Dame du Sault where students and staff raised $1,602.31.
2017 marks Easter Seals Ontario’s 95th anniversary of serving children and youth with physical disabilities. Since 1922, with the help of our generous donors, Easter Seals has been offering programs and services that enable kids to experience freedom and independence and focus on what they can do rather than on their limitations. Together, we make a difference for kids in the community who need our help. Easter Seals helps kids BE KIDS.
