SportsThe Soo Greyhounds were all over Windsor last night, thrashing the Spitfires 12 to 1.  Nick Ritchie led the winners with a 5 point night — 2 goals and 3 assists.  Anthony DeAngelo, Blake Speers and Sergei Tolchinsky each added two goals in the Greyhounds victory.  With the win, the Hounds clinch first overall in the Ontario Hockey League, meaning they will have home ice advantage during the entire OHL playoffs.  Soo Curler Brad Jacobs and his team lost 3 and 2 to Niklas Edin of Sweden in the semifinals of the Syncrude Elite 10 event in Fort McMurray, Alberta.  Edin will meet Mike McEwen in the final this afternoon after he won 4 up over Kevin Koe in the other semi.  Northern Ontario opening with a loss at the Canadian Seniors Curling Championships in Edmonton.  Thunder Bay’s Al Hackner fell 9-4 to Glen Hanson of Alberta.  The Northern team skipped by Al Hackner, includes Saultites Rob Thomas and Eric Harnden.
